Are we in for a rough October? There's some professionals out there that think so. Now that stocks have screamed higher for weeks now, it is possible they could be in for a little Halloween scare soon. At least that's what some of the pros I know are thinking right now.
The S&P 500 has defied gravity - all in the face of a poor new jobs report last week, warnings of a rate increase by the Fed soon, issues in North Korea, and now turmoil between Trump and Iran. However, it just doesn't seem stocks care much about anything except going higher these days.

We don't rest on our laurels around here. We've had some big winners of late, but nobody knows more than us we've also had our fair share of losers over the years as well. That's just the nature of the penny stock world - some go up, some go down, some go to the moon and some go to zero.
Of all of the penny stocks out there these days though, there's one small stock we've been covering for quite some time that we're still convinced has a potentially promising future - SPYR, Inc. (SPYR).
It's definitely been a wild ride for traders and investors for about two years, but if you've managed to catch SPYR at the right time, the returns have been nothing short of excellent. The flip side of that is also true though, so I make my point again - the best time to buy the right small stocks is when nobody wants them.

Happy Hump Day everybody. I know I sound like a broken record, but since my last edition on Monday, the markets have once again made more new all-time highs. And, the rally that's taken place across all of the major averages is about as broad based as anything I've seen in a very long time.
One day it's tech, another it's healthcare, another its industrials, basic materials, biotech, conglomerates, consumer products, services, the list just goes on and on. Just check out this chart of the S&P 500 here. It just keeps moving farther and farther away from the 50-day moving average. But, that's what roaring bull markets look like.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those families affected by another tragic event in Las Vegas last evening. My nephew was actually there staying at the MGM for his birthday, but opted to come home before it all took place. We're so grateful, but others obviously weren't that lucky.
This news comes at a time when one of our featured stocks in Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PTOTF) announced some tremendous news on the subject of weapons detection around this country. The news is actually the most significant piece of news from the company to date.
Trust me when I say it doesn't even feel good to cheer a stock at a time like this, even when the company's technology is clearly suited to help deter events like this, but reality is today's news is definitely good news for those who believe we need better solutions on US soil when it comes to someone's ability to walk into a commercial establishment with an arsenal of weaponry.

Howdy everyone. Stocks continue their bi-polar behavior, down sharply then back up sharply. But, that's the way they've been for weeks now, so nobody should be all that surprised. At least not yet anyway.
The S&P 500 appears to be holding up pretty well following yesterday's selloff, but if small caps have anything to do with it, it looks as if the major averages will end up finding their footing at some point over the next few days. At least that's what some out there are saying.
